Wilson was the RoboBoat Team’s very first boat and made its debut at the 2019 RoboBoat competition. Wilson exposed the students to everything that RoboBoat is all about. To boat design and manufacturing, software development, and electronic placement, Wilson was the boat that started it all for the RoboBoat team.

At the competition, the judges were surprised that it weighed so little (thanks to its carbon fiber build), and were impressed with its amazing thrust-to-weight ratio. In fact, the thrust-to-weight ratio was so amazing, it flipped Wilson on his final run. However, the team was not down with this outcome and saw this as an opportunity to learn from their mistakes at the competition.

At the end of the competition, the Seminole Coast RoboBoat team recognized all the improvements that were needed and began prepping Wilson’s Revenge for the 2019-2020 competition.
